The Rosehip is one of the most complete forms of nutriment found in nature. Not only are they a rich source of vitamin C, (7 times that of apples). They also contain Vitamin A, B1, E, K and P, Niacin, Pectin, Phosphorous, Iron, Calcium and Magnesium.

Rose hips have had countless uses through the ages including easing of muscle and joint pain, warding off the common cold and as a general tonic.

Recent research undertaken at Copenhagen County hospital showed that Rosehip powder reduced pain in 82% of patients after three weeks of treatment. The study, a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial, published in the Scandinavian Journal of Rheumatology , also found that those taking Rosehip powder reduced their use of painkillers like paracetamol, ibuprofen and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Rosehips are also taken to help prevent bladder/urinary tract infections and, with all that Vitamin C, help to fight the common cold.
