New in stock - perhaps the most astonishing product we have ever had. Phase 2 starch neutralizer is a natural extract from the white kidney bean that, when taken 15 minutes before a meal, stops the starch in the food from being processed and stored as fat by the body. Eurycoma can be used as the pure powdered root, or in various concentrations of extracts - 4 to 1, 20 to 1, 100 to 1, 200 to 1, etc, where the concentrations of what is thought to be the active ingredients are increased. As the active ingredient in the pure powder is only 0.005%, there is little point in taking pure powder, unless in quantities of 50 grams or so. The problem with the superconcentrated extracts, such as 200 to 1, is that the dosage has to be very precise (an extra 20mg or so in a capsule can make a huge difference to the effect on a person).
Eurycoma longifolia, usually combined with many other herbal extracts, is sold under various names - Procalis, Provigro, ProvigraX, Prozest, Libidus, VigRX, ProSolution, Virility EX, Avela, Zenerx, MagnaRX for men, and Climaxol and Sensuvive for women. There are many more, usually starting with Pro and with a capital X somewhere in there.
The main problem we have found with these 'cocktails' is that many of the ingredients are present in such small amounts as to have no effect on the body at all, whilst some have the desired effect by increasing blood pressure, sometimes quite drastically. There are many reports to be found by serching the internet from people who have experienced increased blood flow to all, or sometimes particular parts, of the body resulting in a flaming red face and/or chest, bulging veins in the head and neck, severe headaches, muscular aches, shortage of breath, etc. Herbs to watch out for are Yohimbe and Epimedium (Horny Goat Weed), which are fine if the dosage is strictly controlled, but otherwise can play havoc with blood pressure, kidney function, and liver function.
Eurycoma works mainly by increasing testosterone levels, and is gaining interest in the body-building community because increased testosterone levels in the body increase muscle mass and strength. It also increases energy production in the body by increasing ATP (Adenosine triphosphate), an energy-rich chemical that is responsible for nearly all the energy production in the body. During times of physical effort we can use up our ATP faster than we can replace it and we become fatigued. In this way, Eurycoma raises energy levels, reduces fatigue, and heightens mental alertness. Note: Eurycoma can cause insomnia and restlessness if the dose is too high, and can also result in an increase in body temperature.
Although few properly conducted human studies of the effects of Eurycoma have been carried out, one study using human subjects in 2005 found that it increased High Density Lipoproteins, which are necessary for healthy arteries. HDLs can help stop the build up of plaque in the arterial walls and lower the risk of heart attack. The same study reported that there was an increase in Human Growth Hormone when taking this herb, which may account for its reputation as an anti-aging supplement. HGH lowers as we age; a person at sixty has about twenty percent of the HGH of a twenty year old.
We have managed to obtain some Eurycoma longifolia extract - 4:1 - which we think represents the best value for money and is the safest with regard to supplying the correct amount of the active ingredient. The product is expensive, but not as expensive as the prices of the above products would indicate (some are priced at £2-3 per capsule).Dosage: Take 2 capsules per day per day Note: Beware of similar capsules advising you to take 1 an hour or so before sex, these either do not work or they contain products which will produce a quick-acting, short-lived rise in blood pressure. They can be dangerous and can produce the strange effects noted above. There have been no reported side effects from taking Eurycoma longifolia, and no reported interactions with other medicines, herbal or traditional. We do not recommend taking Eurycoma whilst pregnant or breastfeeding
